Where payments are processed through a third-party payment provider, payment card information may be collected directly by that provider. KoalaBIM does not ordinarily retain full payment card details.

We do not generally seek to collect sensitive information. If sensitive information is required for a particular purpose, we will only collect it where reasonably necessary and permitted by law.

We generally collect personal information directly from you, including when you: contact us by email, telephone or through our website; submit an enquiry or request a quote; engage us to provide consulting, BIM, content development, training or related services; register for or attend training; purchase a product or service; or otherwise communicate or do business with us.

We may also receive personal information from your employer or organisation, another project participant, a referral, a service provider, or publicly available professional or business sources where it is reasonable and appropriate to do so.

Some information is collected automatically when you use our website through cookies and similar technologies.

However, we will generally require appropriate identifying and contact information where it is necessary to provide services, enter into an agreement, process a transaction or respond effectively to an enquiry.

Opting out of marketing communications will not prevent us from sending communications that are reasonably necessary for an existing client relationship, transaction, booking or service.

We take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances when selecting and working with service providers that handle personal information on our behalf.

KoalaBIM uses cloud-based and technology service providers in the operation of its business.

As a result, personal information may be stored, processed or accessed outside Australia, including in the United States of America, and potentially in other countries in which our service providers or their subprocessors operate.

The locations used by technology providers can change from time to time. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and to ensure personal information is handled appropriately.

Personal information may be stored electronically within our business systems and those of our service providers.

These measures may include access controls, authentication, appropriate security configuration, backups and the use of established cloud and technology providers.
